Designer Biography

Rebecca Street is a British designer, directing own label, working alongside International Houses, selling through Browns Bride.
Based in London, over the last 20 years Rebecca has established a leading name in luxury, bespoke bridal wear, ready to wear and showpiece dresses. Her sculpting and draping skills, combined with a keen observance of structure, texture and fit has become her trademark, reinforcing her position as a top technical designer.

Her own-label designs have been sold by some of the UK’s leading retailers; Harrods, Liberty, Browns, Browns Bride and Rous Iland, along with her own retail store in Islington.

In collaboration with some of the most prestigious international designers including Alexander McQueen, Mulberry, Giles Deacon, Mary Katrantzou & Sophie Hulme, Rebecca has helped to deliver spectacular high-end catwalk collections and special pieces to the luxury fashion market. She has measured, cut and fitted a host of front row VIPs, including Kate Moss, Kirsten Dunst, Keira Knightly, Michelle Williams and Naomi Campbell.
Rebecca received an award from the Ethical Fashion Forum for her first season luxury sustainable RTW line, which was followed by her launch at Paris Fashion Week. She has also worked in collaboration with Browns on an exclusive RTW bridal collection; ‘Rebecca Street for Browns’, as well as consulting to Browns on another designer’s collaborative launch.

A few years ago, when looking to further push the boundaries of her technical and innovative skills, Rebecca questioned which is the most luxurious material a garment could be made from, without killing animals and the answer came; gold. In her quest, Rebecca has developed wearable technology which has implications for both fashion and medical science. As an award holder with InnovateUK in their first ever Women in Innovation Competition, she has been afforded collaboration with researchers at leading UK universities and research institutes to further explore its potential.
